Curtain rod hardware – Having a window in a door, you can enjoy the view and gives a light, airy feel to the room. But you may want to cover the glass with a curtain for some extra privacy, insulation of cold air or to block sunlight. Mounting of a curtain rod to the wall on either side of the opening is not an option with a door, which must be able to operate freely. With the right tools, however, you can install a curtain over a door.
Mark the position of the curtain rod on the door with a pencil. Let not extend too far, the rod on either side of the window in the door or curtain may interfere with the door located. Align the ends of the curtain rod to the sides of the window opening in the door. Drill holes for the curtain rod hardware. Use a drill bit that corresponds to the screw size in the hardware.

Arrange the curtain rod on the door in the position you marked. Center the screw holes drilled in the rod hardware on the drill holes for you. Use a wall anchor in order to keep the hardware of pulling out a hollow door. Place the anchor into the pilot hole, insert the screw. Tighten the screw with the screwdriver to the screw head is flush with the curtain rod hardware. Repeat for all screws. Hang your curtain on the curtain rod. Snap the rod into the curtain rod hardware.
