It is important to mount the fixture to a wall stud so it will not come out of the wall. Wall studs are structural framing boards inside the wall. They are spaced a standard 16 inches on center, so you will not have to worry about finding one near the place where you want to apply it.

Mount candle wall sconces; Slide a stud finder along the wall in the general area where you want to mount the chandelier. Dial the nearest stud with a pencil on the height you want to mount the wall lamp. Place the fixture on a work surface face up. Center the paper on the back of the wall lamp. Trace the outline of the back of the paper with a pencil. Drill a hole through the paper in each of the mounting holes.

Mount candle wall sconces; align the mounting holes in the paper over the mark on the wall posts. Mark the location of the mounting holes on the wall. Insert the screws included with the sconce on the wall at each whole mounting mark with a screw gun. Leave the screws protruding about 1/8 inch from the wall. Lift the lamp wall and place against the wall so the holes line up with the screws. Lower applied on the screws to secure the lamp wall to wall.
